The Mansfield Lady Lions cross country team added more hardware to the trophy case on Saturday when they won the Class 2, District 5 championship with a first place finish.

Winning the race at Lake Pomme de Terre came just a couple of weeks after the softball team won the Summit Conference title featuring some of the same athletes.

Mansfield won the title by just three points, holding off second place Stockton. Rival Hartville was 14 points behind the Lady Lions.

The Lady Lions had two All-District runners as Skyler Adams was third place overall (22:51.76) and Logan Jones took fifth place (24:13.93).

Meanwhile, Lauren Jones was 17th (27:06.17) and Caige Henry was 24th (28:15.03).

Other runners included Hailey Nelson (30:20.35), Trinnity Davis (33:48.86) and Chloe Lemons (34:07.52).
