Lady Eagles get wins over Seymour, Norwood

The Lady Eagles began their week with an impressive 8-5 win over Seymour in spite of their defense committing seven errors. Hartville scored three runs in both the first and fifth innings and held on late for the victory. Rami Murr earned the victory on the mound after tossing seven innings and allowed two earned runs on seven hits with four strikeouts. Offensively, Madalynn Vaughn hit a two-run home run and finished with four RBIs and one run scored. Molly Brown added two RBIs and two runs scored, Centauri Todd tallied three hits and two runs scored while Carly Calton, Gabbie Dennis and Murr each scored one run.

Falling to Dixon

The errors continue to come in large numbers for the Lady Eagles and it hurt them again in a 13-10 loss. They made another eight errors.

Hartville’s offense did score eight runs in the final two innings, but it was not enough to overcome Dixon’s 12-hit attack. Though Dixon had 12 runs, only six of them were charged to Murr on the mound. She tossed seven innings, but allowed 12 hits and struck out two. Calton led the offense with two hits and three RBIs. Vaughn added two RBIs, Todd had one RBI and three runs scored while Brown had one RBI and one run scored. Jenna Kelley did score two runs.

Hartville also beat Norwood, 13-12. (Stats not made available by press time.)
