Karla Suzanne Besson was born Aug. 28, 1968, in Gary, Ind., to parents Kenneth Sr. and Phyllis Troy. She grew up in Cedar Lake, Ind., with her friends and family whom she loved so dearly. Everyone who knew Karla knew she was always up to something. She enjoyed caring for her and her husband’s cattle and loved her dog and cat. Karla was a talented water skier and always up for an adventure.
She often enjoyed taking her children out on adventures and loved having wholesome quality family time. Karla was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Clare Troy; her sister, Karen Lynn Troy; her step-son, Brandon William Besson; and many uncles and cousins.
Karla is survived by her loving husband, Charles Besson; her children, Kyle and Clare Shoemaker; father, Kenneth Troy, Sr.; step-sons, Adam and Bryant Besson; two brothers, Kenneth Troy, Jr. and William Troy; and many beloved family members and friends.
Karla was a beautiful woman, a pillar of strength, and a wonderful wife, mother, daughter and friend. She will be deeply missed, always loved, and never forgotten by all whose lives she touched. Visitation for Karla Besson was held Friday, Sep. 17, 2021, from 6-7 p.m. at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove.
