Joe Alan Ramey

Joe Alan Ramey, son of Jack Richardson and Joy Hodge, was born Sep. 3, 1956 in Ada, Okla. He departed this life April 28, 2021 in his home at Hartville, at the age of 64 years, 7 months and t25 days. Joe lived in Oklahoma and California before moving to Hartville, with his grandmother in 1968; Missouri has been home to him since. He enlisted in the United States Navy; he served and sacrificed for his country before receiving an honorable discharge.  On Nov. 30, 1979 at Lavern’s Marriage Parlor in Miami, Okla., Joe married Rebecca “Becky” Mills and she survives of the home. Also surviving are his children; Juanita Baney, of Mountain Grove; Melissa Chandler and her husband, Jeff, Jack Ramey and his wife, Jessica, and Cindy Ramey, all of Hartville; seven grandchildren, Caitlynn, Haleigh, Isaac, Ethan, Johnathan, Izzy and Dexter; his siblings, Theresa, Elaine, Paula, Kenny and Jack, Jr.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents. Joe enjoyed landscaping, fishing, gardening and really just anything that allowed him to play in the dirt! Joe’s greatest love and what brought him the most joy, was for his family and friends; He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend.  We celebrate his wonderful life and will always cherish the many happy memories he created. Memorials to the family, may be sent to Holman-Howe Funeral Home P.O. Box 236 Hartville, Mo. 65667. Services were held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Life360 Church in Hartville with minister Terry Bohannon. Musicians were Mark Davis and Haleigh Ramey.
