Mountain Grove head boys basketball coach Duane Hiler was officially inducted as a part of the Class of 2020 in the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association (MBCA) Hall of Fame during a ceremony held Oct. 23 in Springfield.
Hiler had been previously announced for receiving the honor last year, but was not officially inducted through a ceremony until this past weekend due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hiler has coached for 20 years and recorded a 77% winning percentage.
His career includes spending three years at Mansfield, six years in Hollister and the past 12 years at Mountain Grove.
During his career, his teams have won 13 district titles and taken five trips to the Final Four.
The hardware from state includes one fourth place trophy, two third place trophies, one runner-up and a state championship in 1999.
It was that season he led the Hollister Tigers to a championship.
