Herbert "Herbie" Clark

Herbert “Herbie” Clark, son of Finis and Ferrell Austin Clark, was born April 25, 1929 at Hartville. He departed this life on, Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020 in the Hartville Care Center, at the age of 92 years, 3 months and 28 days.

Herbie was born and reared at Hartville his entire life. Prior to retirement, he farmed and took much joy in doing his work. Survivors include four nephews, Johnnie T. Wisdom, Jr. and his wife, Deborah, of Hartville; Eddie Jordan and his wife, Cindy, of Hamilton; Mark Robertson and his wife, Susie, of Hartville; and Dennis Robertson and his wife, Lisa, of Hartville; several great-nieces; several great- nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Imogene Wisdom, Eileen Jordan and Sue Robertson. Herbie enjoyed coon hunting, running rabbits, bluegrass music and he really loved loafing. He had a good heart; he never knew a stranger and he always enjoyed taking the time to visit with people.  Most importantly, Herbie loved his family with all his heart. He was a loving uncle, great-uncle and dear friend. We celebrate his wonderful life and will always cherish the many happy memories he created. A memorial has been established to Cope Cemetery. Donations can be mailed to Holman-Howe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hartville, Mo. 65667. Services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020 at Cope Cemetery in Hartville with his family officiating. Music included “Looking for the Stone” and “Lay me to Rest.”
