Hartville CC boys win district title

The Hartville cross country program is sending several runners to the Class 2 state meet after achieving a lot of success at the Class 2, District 5 race last Saturday at Lake Pomme de Terre.

The district meet was hosted by Hermitage High School.

Hartville’s boys runners won the district championship by just one team point, holding off second place Stockton.

The Eagles had all seven of their runners finish in the Top-25 in a race featuring 67 runners.

Josh Bettendorf finished in fourth place overall with a time of 18:09.40 while Josiah Bettendorf was sixth (18:19.80). Bryce Coday was seventh (18:24.44), Weston Williams was 16th (19:15.14), Keegan Kirkpatrick took 17th (19:22.13), Caleb Long was 20th (19:39.59) and Jacob Ballard was 25th (20:14.99).
