Frazee bench to be dedicated

Posted

There will be a brief ceremony to dedicate the granite bench on the Mountain Grove Square in memory of Mary Ann Barker Frazee this Saturday, July 3 at 9 a.m.

Ms. Frazee, a Mountain Grove native and Mountain Grove High School alumni, had a lifetime of significant contributions to the Mountain Grove community.

She co-authored the Panther Fight Song, was a leader in the Chamber of Commerce for decades and was an avid historian of local and American history and leader in the Mountain Grove Central Arts Council.

A granite bench was placed on the square last fall in her memory, but due to the COVID pandemic, the dedication was postponed until this Saturday.

The bench was sponsored by members of the Central Arts Council and the Mountain Grove Alumni Memorial Foundation, of which Mary Ann was a founding member and the Frazee family.

They invite the public to attend the dedication ceremony this Saturday at 9 a.m.
