Elenoria Ann Wooldridge

Elenoria Ann Wooldridge, daughter of the late Alfred and Ethel (Price) Clark, was born July 26, 1937, in Vanzant, and departed this life April 28, 2021, at her home in Springfield. She was 83 years, 9 months and 2 days of age. Ann grew up and attended school in the Vanzant community. On May 7, 1954, she was united in marriage to Homer Glenn Wooldridge in Bartlesville, Okla., on his senior skip day. One son was born to this union. Ann was a hard worker and enjoyed owning and operating several small businesses throughout her life, including Route 66 Flea Market, Ann’s Antiques and Auction, Ricky’s Twin Freeze and Trails End Motel to name a few. She also sold mercantile products for An-Home Distributors for several years. When Ann wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time working with her flower gardens and goldfish pond. She was also an avid reader.

Besides her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Wooldridge; and by three brothers, Gene, Murrell and Leroy Clark. Ann is survived by one son, Rick Wooldridge and wife, Teresa, of Springfield; one brother, Dick Clark, of Buffalo; one sister, Evelyn Giles, of Springfield; three grandchildren, Stephanie Barber, of Republic; Rick G. Wooldridge II, of Springfield; and Eric Wooldridge, of Lebanon; one great-grandchild, Gabriel Barber, of Republic; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Visitation for Ann Wooldridge will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2021, from 1-2 p.m. at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2 p.m., also at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bud Scherer officiating. Song selections are “Amazing Grace,” “The Old Rugged Cross” and “I’ll Fly Away.” Rick Wooldridge II, Eric Wooldridge, Stanley Clark, Gary Clark, Tyler Clark and Josiah Clark will serve as pallbearers. Carl Nelson, Mike Burke and Robert Clark will serve as honorary pallbearers. Burial is in Pine Grove Cemetery, Willow Springs, under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove.
