For this year’s Homecoming game, the Hartville Eagles hosted a Liberty (Mountain View) team that had two quick guards who did some damage early. After giving up 16 points in the first quarter though, the Eagles defense held their opponent to 35 points over the final three quarters to pick up an 82-51 win. Braden Branstetter helped Hartville pull away in the second quarter as he made two of his team’s five 3-pointers in that frame to put Hartville up, 47-34, at halftime. Brady Ward hit two 3-pointers in the third quarter and scored 13 points in the second half to help the Eagles in their 31-point win.
