Eagles fall to Marion C. Early

Errors and a big seven-run inning doomed the Hartville Eagles baseball team in their 12-7 loss to Marion C. Early on Monday.

Ryce Piper led the offense with two RBIs while both Rory Kirkpatrick and Brody McNiel had one RBI. Eli Cook and Isaac Boyer each scored two runs while Braden Branstetter, Hunter Lowery and Kolton Cogdill each scored one run.

Branstetter had a rough outing on the mound as he allowed six earned runs on five hits with three strikeouts and six walks in four innings pitched.

Cook tossed a part of an inning and gave up four earned runs on two hits with one strikeout and four walks.

Lowery tossed the final two and two thirds innings to shut down Marion C. Early for the rest of the game. He also had one strikeout.
