Douglas Ray Allen, 62, of Isabella, passed away Jan. 15, 2022, at his residence. He was born July 31, 1959, in Springfield, to Norman and Georgia Pauline (Thornhill) Allen. Douglas grew up in the Mountain Grove area. He graduated from Mountain Grove High School Class of 1977. He owned and operated AHAP (Allen Hydraulics & Air Products) for several years before working as a heavy equipment operator. Later he went to work for the steel plant in Mansfield. He retired to Isabella about 20 years ago, where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, mudding and doing anything he could outdoors. He loved spending the summer with his grandkids. He was known by all who loved him as “Pops” and will be greatly missed by each and everyone of them. Pops is survived by one sister, Marietha Leonard and husband, Mike; four children, Dewayne Allen, Duranda Allen Jackson, Douglas Ray Allen II and Dakota Allen and wife, Jessica; grandchildren, Gavyn Jordan, Daisy Allen, Alley Jackson, Keona Jackson, Riley Jackson, Aaliyah Allen, Addisyn Allen and Aeker Allen; one great grandchild, “B” Brianna Jackson-Williams; numerous nieces and nephews; and his two fur-babies “Kitty” & “Georgia.” He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Pauline Allen.
