DeLinda Lee Fogerson

DeLinda Lee Fogerson, daughter of the late Robert and Spicy (Walker) Lawhorn, was born Nov. 16, 1947, in Manes and departed this life Aug. 3, 2021, in Springfield. She was 73 years, 8 months and 18 days of age. DeLinda grew up and attended school in the Mountain Grove area. She was united in marriage to Lonnie Fogerson on Dec. 1, 1962, at Cabool. One son, Eddie, was born to this union. They made their home in Mountain Grove. Mr. Fogerson passed away Sep. 28, 2000. DeLinda worked for the Brown Shoe Company for a short time before beginning her 28 year career at Wal-Mart. While working there she also enjoyed working for Children’s Miracle Network for 10 years. She was a happy homemaker that enjoyed fishing, cooking, picking blackberries and spending time with her family, friends and church family. She was saved and baptized in later years of life and attended Hopewell Free Will Baptist Church. Besides her parents and husband, DeLinda was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Sue Lawhorn and Lois Skinner.

She is survived by one son, Eddie Fogerson and wife, Christy, of Mountain Grove; two grandchildren, Travis Fogerson and wife, Carly, of Ozark, and Tracy Litchfield and husband, Braden, of Mountain Grove; one great-granddaughter, Bracy Litchfield; one great-grandson, Traden Litchfield; one sister, Fern Rhodes and family, of Mountain Grove; one sister-in-law, Anna Jennings and family, of Orick; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.Graveside services for Delinda Fogerson were held Friday, Aug. 6, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Fowler Cemetery with the Rev. Frank McCune officiating. Song selections were “I Can Only Imagine” and “Going Home” sung by The McCunes and Troy Jennings. Eddie Fogerson, Travis Fogerson, Braden Litchfield, Anthony Keehner, Marvin Breshears and Lee Melton served as pallbearers.

Burial was in Fowler Cemetery, Texas County, under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Miracle Network. Online condolences: www.craighurttfuneralhome.com.
