David Bruce Jackson, son of the late Morris Merle and Marjorie Mae (Walker) Jackson, was born May 25, 1644, in Kewanee, Ill., and departed this life May 17, 2021, at his home in Mountain Grove, at 76 years of age. David served in the United States Navy for eight years and was honorably discharged May 18, 1970. David was a farmer in the 1970s and also spent several years as a truck driver. At the time of his passing, he had been attending Countryside Church of the Nazarene. He was a dedicated servant of the church, mowing the lawn, making sure the doors were locked or unlocked depending on the activities, and doing general maintenance. David will be greatly missed. A graveside service and burial were held Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 10 a.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.
