Cynthia Kay Swanson Welch, 50, of Conway, died Saturday morning, May 16, 2020, at Mercy Hospital Springfield. She was born July 8, 1969, in Houston, Texas to Riley M. and Linda Looney Swanson. On Dec. 18, 2006, she married Richard L. Welch in Springfield and made their home in Conway. She was preceded in death by her father, Riley M. Swanson; paternal grandparents, Robert L. and Winnifred “Star’’ Swanson, and maternal grandparents, Willis L. Looney and Ruby “Lorene’’ Hayes. Cynthia was born in Houston, Texas and was raised in Woodland, Texas, where she graduated from Nimitz High School. She then made her home in the Houston area and worked at several different jobs through the years. She also was a devoted homemaker to her family. After she and Richard were married in 2006, they made their home near Conway and Cynthia continued to be a loving homemaker to her husband and family. Cindy knew her Lord and Savior as her friend and depended on Him for comfort. She is survived by her husband Richard of the home, currently in Jordan; three sons, Zach Welch and his wife Alexis; Stephen Drury and his wife Gina, all of Conway, and Michael Welch of Utah; three grandchildren, Colton Welch, Rosalynn Welch, and Hudson Drury; her mother, Linda Davis of Nacogdoches, Texas; a brother, Robert Swanson of Conroe, Texas; two sisters, Jana Swanson-Wedding of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Sheryl Poston of New Caney, Texas; several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Cynthia Kay Welch will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon with the Rev. Mike Bennett and Stephen Drury officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery at Conway, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. Visitation will be 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
