County runners named All-SCCCA

Several Wright County runners were recently named to the Southwest Cross Country Coaches Association (SCCCA) All-District teams for their respective class sizes.

In Mountain Grove, Macey Penner earned first-team honors in Class 3 for her performance this past season. Meanwhile, Andrew Norris was a second-team selection for Class 3 runners in southwest Missouri.

Mansfield had two Lions selected for the SCCCA honors. Bradley Corder was a second-team selection in Class 2 after his solid season for the Lions. His teammate, Braxton Bolfing, a freshman, was an honorable mention selection.

The Lady Lions had three runners earn All-SCCCA honors in Class 2.

Logan Jones, who was an All-State runner, was a first-team selection.

Her teammate Faith Clark, a freshman, earned second-team honors. Meanwhile, Lauren Jones was an honorable mention selection.

As for Hartville, their lone runner to receive the All-SCCCA honor was senior Clemmie Taylor. Taylor, who was All-State, was on the first team.

In Class 1, Norwood’s Ben Smith was an honorable mention selection as chosen by the SCCCA.
