Connie Fay (Green) Hiler

Connie Fay (Green) Hiler was born on August 24th, 1943, in Willow Springs to Norman L. “Lee” Green and Reva Mae (Wallin) Green. She went to be with the Lord on Oct. 6, 2021, at the age of 78 years, 1 month and 12 days. On April 1, 1962, she was united in marriage to Sherman Ross Hiler and to this union three children were born. For 29 years Connie and Sherman owned and operated Hiler Funeral Home in Willow Springs until their retirement in 1999. She was a member of the First Baptist Church for over 50 years. She accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized in April of 1967. She had a deep love of her family and traveling to her children and grandchildren’s sporting events and cheering them all on. She loved her Chiefs and her Cardinals. She lived for the days when all her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren would gather together, especially on Sundays, to watch the Chiefs. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Reva Green; her mother and father-in-law, Rose and Charlie Hiler; her brother, Ernest Lee Stephenson; her sisters, Bonnie Turner and Barbara “Jerry” Johnson; her daughter-in-law, Laura Hiler, and her beloved husband of 44 years, Sherman Hiler.

Connie is survived by her three children, Denise and Tommy Smith, of Willow Springs; Duane and Rose Hiler, of Mountain Grove; David Hiler, of Willow Springs; her sister, Kay, and Joe Losh, of Van Alstyne, Texas; her brother-in-law, Leon, and Shirley Hiler, of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Alesha, Shelby, Darren, Mary, Dawson and Hannah; seven great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, loved ones and an endless number of friends; and was “mom” to many of her children’s friends. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Pine Grove Cemetery in Connie’s memory. Visitation was Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021, from 2-4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Willow Springs. Funeral Services were held Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Pastors Joel Hinds and David Lovan officiating.
