Community, local ministry blessed as former Subway building is donated

Posted

Mike and Connie Roberts have permitted the organization and their community partners to run their offices and programs, including Ozark Action and Adult Education classes, out of the building for the past several years, and adding the Subway portion of the building will allow them to start their plans for an eatery much earlier than expected. The organization says they were completely stunned when Mike presented the offer of the building to them, saying it was an unexpected answer to prayer. “God’s plans are always different from ours because He sees the big picture when we can only see one small piece at a time. We had been praying for the Subway building to be opened back up as a restaurant, but we never expected it to be us that opened up a restaurant in it! We are beyond thrilled that the Roberts family would believe in our organization and our vision enough to donate something as wonderful as this.”

The Roberts family is known for being a strong pillar in every community they serve and reside in. They have raised four children and enjoy spending time with their nine grandchildren as well. They currently own four Mansfield Building Supply stores and Weaver Inn in Mansfield. They both currently serve and have in the past served on multiple community boards throughout the years. They have attended and faithfully served their church families throughout the years as well and currently attend the Seymour Nazarene church.

Connie graduated from Hartville High School and it was always her desire to have something wonderful serving the community in their building. “We are so thrilled that the Roberts family shares our vision for our community to see it thriving, and that they were willing to come alongside us to help that vision move forward. We live in a wonderful area full of generous people who are willing to give whatever resource they are blessed with whether that’s talent, time, or money. We are so grateful to everyone who has supported the mission of the CBF so far and to the Roberts family for their unique gift! We are excited to move forward with our plans to change up the interior of our new building to fit our vision and design!” You can follow the progress of the building by following the organization on Facebook. They are hoping to have the work completed and ready to open by the end of the year.
