Claude Rex Gage, son of the late Alvin Raymond and Agnes Marie (Kester) Gage, was born April 13, 1938, in Merced, Calif., and departed this life Jan. 11, 2021, in Kansas City, following a short illness. He was 82 years, 8 months and 29 days of age. Claude grew up in Willow Springs and graduated from Willow Springs High School in 1958. He was united in marriage to Sherrie Louise Carmen on May 17, 1963. They made their home near Lebanon for over 30 years before moving to Mountain Grove, where they remained until their passing. Graveside services for Claude Gage was held Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery with Bro. Keith Cozort officiating. Song selections were “I’ll Fly Away” and “Amazing Grace.” Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove.
