Chester Carl Anderson

Chester Carl Anderson, son of the late Kenneth Carl and Floreine Pearl (Freeland) Anderson, was born Aug. 10, 1938, in Kansas City, Kan., and departed this life Feb. 1, 2022, at his home in the Ozarks in Missouri. He was 83 years, 5 months and 22 days of age. Chester grew up and graduated from high school in Kansas. He then enlisted in, and retired from the United States Navy that allowed him to live and experience various cities around the country. He then spent another 20 years working for the U.S. government. He loved being retired, riding motorcycles and working with cars and computers. Besides his parents, Chester was preceded in death by one son, Robert David Anderson, and one brother, Robert Kenneth Anderson. Chester is survived by his loving wife, Jean Anderson; two sons, Dennis Anderson, of California, and Scott Anderson, of Colorado; one step-son, Matthew and his wife, Joy, of Missouri; one granddaughter, Mirabai Lux; three step-grandchildren; one brother, David Anderson; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him greatly. Funeral Services for Chester Anderson were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, in the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home of Mountain Grove. Burial with full military honors were at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri, under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home of Mountain Grove.
