Mountain Grove’s Alex Casas was selected as one of several All-Stars chosen for the 2021 Sertome Grin Iron Classic. Casas was chosen with the listed positions of wide receiver, running back and free safety.
Unfortunately, the Classic was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Other notable names on the list include Ava’s Jacob Bruffett (LB), Buffalo’s James Smith (QB), Thayer’s Jayce Haven (ATH), Cabool’s Logan Primanzon (WR/DB), Houston’s Trevor Mitchell (OL), Liberty’s Zeb Cornman (OLB), Thayer’s Bobby Dale (OL/DL), Willow Springs’ Justin Chaney (DE), Buffalo’s Bode Abraham (WR/DB), Fair Grove’s Tanner Lumley (WR) and Cabool’s Dakota Schwenk (WR/DB/P).
All players were members of the East Roster and would have played for the West Plains’ coaching staff, that includes former Mountain Grove coach Blayne Armstrong.
