Carol Lynn (Longwell) Miller, daughter of Nancy (Vollmer) Longwell and the late Robert Longwell, was born Jan. 17, 1956, in Rushville, Ill., and passed away Nov. 19, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She was 65 years, 10 months and 2 days of age. Carol grew up and went to school in Rushville, Ill.
She married Tom Miller on Oct. 21, 1983, in Kansas City. Two children were born to this union. She was a licensed beautician and worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service before retiring. Carol enjoyed doing genealogy. She spent many hours tracing her family tree.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Robert Longwell; one brother, Edward Longwell; and one brother-in-law, Bobby Dickason. She is survived by her husband, Tom Miller; one son, Jesse Miller; one daughter, Hayley (Miller) Vail; one sister, Sandy Dickason; two grandchildren, Gabriel and Faith; two nephews, Robert and Nathan Longwell; and other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.
Graveside services for Carol Miller were Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Green Mountain Cemetery with the Rev. Frank McCune officiating. Burial at Green Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home – Mountain Grove.
