Brenda Day retires after 40 years of service

After 40 years of service in the Wright County Assessor’s Office, Brenda Day officially retired as she was honored during a celebration near the end of August inside the Wright County Courthouse. She was joined by colleagues, friends and family for the special event where she received a plaque honoring her for the years she spent working for the County.

Her first day was March  15, 1979.

She worked for 18 months before going back to school. She later worked for the County on Dec. 1, 1981 as Deputy Assessor until March of 1983. She assumed the role as Assessor in Sep. 1, 1985 and held the post ever since.

During the celebration, Day also received a quilt as a special gift.
