Bonnie Fay Hoffarth

Posted

Bonnie Fay Hoffarth, 64, of Mountain Grove, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Oct. 19, 2020. She was born in Denver, Colo., on May 6, 1956, to Willard O. and Florence M. (Proe) Hoffarth. Bonnie was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Mountain Grove. She loved her church and was saddened when she was no longer able to attend services.  She enjoyed going to the senior center where she liked to win prizes playing bingo, and she also enjoyed the fellowship there.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, Willard Hoffarth; one sister, Sharon K. Long; and both sets of grandparents, Scott and Bessie Proe, and Lewis and Gracie Hoffarth. She is survived by her mother, Florence Hoffarth, of Mountain Grove; one brother, Gene Hoffarth and his wife, Phyllis, of Pueblo West, Colo.; two sisters, Nancy Land, of Mountain Grove, and Jody Colbert, of O’Fallon; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends who will miss her. We would like to thank Hartville Care Center and Preferred Hospice for the excellent care she received during her short stay.  Funeral services for Bonnie Hoffarth were held Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Edwards and the Rev. Dustin Byrd officiating. Song selections were “How Great Thou Art” sung by Diana Edwards and “Peace In The Valley.” Committal service was held Monday, Oct. 26, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or to the donor’s charity of choice. Online condolences: www.craighurttfuneralhome.com.
