An Alabama woman suffered minor injuries after hitting a cow in the roadway with her car around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sep. 22.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report, Shauna L. Ward, 47, of Hazlegreen, Ala., was driving her 2012 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Highway Y, four miles north of Macomb, when she struck the cow.
Fortunately, she only suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He vehicle suffered moderate damage. She reportedly was not wearing a safety device.
