Wright County boys basketball players earn spot on All-Summit Conference team

Seven Wright County basketball players took up most of the 12 first-team spots as the 2024-2025 All-Summit Conference boys basketball team was recently announced.
Both Norwood and Hartville led the conference with three first-team selections.
The Summit Conference champion Pirates were led by first-team selections and seniors, Peyton McDaris, Cooper Vaughan and Noah Drake.
Hartville’s three first-team selections featured seniors Payton Cogdill and Jackson Ward alongside junior Mason Cogdill.
Mansfield senior Blake Henry was also a first-team selection.
Other first-team honors went to Brixon Bilyeu (Conway, senior), Grant Leeker (Gainesville, junior), Abel Hume (Sparta, freshmen) and Seymour’s Derek Helms (senior) and Wyatt Henry (junior).
Three of the four Honorable Mention spots went to Wright County boys basketball players.
Norwood junior Carder Kelly, Hartville junior Boone Garrison and Mansfield sophomore Jace Headrick all received the honor.
Fordland’s Matt Hart, a junior, was also on the honorable mention All-Summit Conference team.
