All-Wright County girls basketball selections

The Wright County Journal has officially released its list of All-Wright County girls basketball selections for the 2024-2025 season.
End of the year statistics were submitted by all eight basketball programs (boys and girls teams) in the county. Statistics do help the Wright County Journal in making the selections, but intangibles of the players are also considered along with a player’s defensive efforts.

Co-MVPs were recognized on this year’s All-Wright County team, as chosen by the Wright County Journal.
Norwood’s Gentry Davault, the quarterback of a Lady Pirates team that advanced to their third straight Final Four, was one of the co-MVPs selected.
She was the quarterback for the Lady Pirates’ team this season. In spite of being a post player, she led the county with 5.5 assists per game.
Her averages left her in a near triple-double per game with 9.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 2.5 blocks and 2.0 steals per contest.
Joining her as a Co-MVP is Mountain Grove’s Raylee Stenzel, who helped the Lady Panthers to a 21-5 record this season.
For many Wright County basketball fans, Raylee was noted as the best basketball player on the court for many of her contests.
Stenzel averaged 15.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game.
Stenzel’s teammate, Landry Golden, was also a first-team, All-Wright County selection.
Golden average a near double-double of 11.1 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.
She was a dominant post presence for the Lady Panthers.
Though the Hartville Lady Eagles finished with an under .500 record, there was no denying that two of their players are among the best in the county.
Kinley Cryer averaged 16.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game She also made 79, 3-pointers this season.
The other part of Hartville’s dynamic duo was Maddie Brown, who averaged 15.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.8 steals, 2.2 assists and even 1.6 blocks per game.
During the season, she pulled down an astounding 113 rebounds.
