Sharon Kay Buss, 71, of Lincoln, Neb., passed away peacefully at home on Aug. 30, 2024. She was born in Houston to proud parents Dillard Hale and Melba Strong on Sep. 7, 1952. Sharon attended Cabool Schools and was part of the Cabool High Class of 1970. She was the mother to two beautiful daughters, Tina and Tauna whom she loved dearly. She resided and worked in the Mountain Grove area while raising her family. Later in life she moved to Lincoln, Neb., where she met and married Myron Buss. Sharon and Myron were married Dec. 29, 1990 and would share the next 34 years together. Sharon was very proud to be the owner/operator of her business in Lincoln “The Tuxedo Rose Floral,” which she owned for 21 years. She loved her poodle, Charlie Brown.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Dillard and Melba; daughter, Tauna Noonan; and sisters, Virginia “Suzy” Sterner, and infant sister, Robin Sterner. Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Myron Buss, of the home; her daughter, Tina Saladin and Lorne, of Norwood; brothers, Mike and Laurie Fisher, of Sealy, Texas; John and Gloria Sterner, of Cabool; Robert Sterner, of Cabool; and Roland Honeycutt and Mona, from Southfork; sisters, Beverly Hutchinson, of Bryan, Texas, and Gail Bloomer, of Cabool; grandchildren, Tyler, Lorissa, Darrian, Darbie and Harlie; great grandchildren, Leah, Hunner, Bo, Connor and Hudson; brothers-in-law, Rod Buss, of Adams, Neb.; Jerome and Renee Buss, of Adams, Neb.; and Ivan and Gene Buss, of Adams, Neb.; sisters-in-law, Gladys Buss, of Lincoln, Neb., and Veronica and Brian Kline, of Vancouver, Wash.; as well as many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Sharon will be greatly missed by all family and friends who had the privilege of knowing her. Funeral services were at 2pm, Friday, Sep. 6, 2024 at funeral chapel with Pastor Marty Descartes officiating. Pallbearers were Lorne Saladin, Remington Crawford, Hunter Lathrom, Eddie Dewitt, Rocky Davis and Robert “Boomer” Sterner. Interment was in the Cabool Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool. Online condolences may be made at www.egcfuneralhome.com.
