Paul Michael Wade

Paul Michael Wade, 72, of Cabool, passed away on Oct. 13, 2025, at his home after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was born on April 18, 1953, in Springfield, to Marlin J. and Shirley Ann Wade. Paul grew up in the Shady Grove community and graduated from Cabool High School in 1971. He worked at Cabool Tires for over 40 years, starting in the shop and later serving as an over-the-road salesman until his retirement. On June 11, 1977, Paul married Kaylene Sue Sullens at Mt. Pisgah Church. Together they built their dream home on the family farm, where they raised their family and shared 48 years of marriage. Paul was saved in 1979 and became an active member of Mt. Pisgah Church, later serving as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He loved the Lord and dedicated many years to leading Men’s Rallies and youth activities. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed farming, woodworking, playing pool and cards, and cheering on the Kansas City Royals. He was known for his hard work, kindness, and love for family and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Marlin and Shirley Wade. He is survived by his wife, Kay Wade; children, Kayla (Nathan) Nel and Anthony Wade; and grandchildren, Caedon Crouch and Greyson Nel. A Celebration of Life was held on Oct. 17, 2025, at Liberty Faith Bible Church, Norwood, officiated by Reg Kelly and Keith Reese. Burial was at Providence Cemetery, Cabool. His legacy of faith, family and hard work will live on through those who loved him most. Arrangements were under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home of Mountain Grove.
