Nina (Hutsell) Prock

Nina (Hutsell) Prock
Nina (Hutsell) Prock, daughter of late Leonard Elmer and Anna Laurie (Leighty) Hutsell, was born Feb. 24, 1931 in Huggins, and departed this life surrounded by loved ones on Aug. 3, 2024. She was 93 years, 5 months and 10 days of age. Nina grew up in the Number One Community and the surrounding area. On June 14, 1947, she married Bryan Prock in Lewiston, Idaho. Three children were born to this union. Nina lived on a farm north of Manes in Wright County most of her life and ran a dairy operation for over 46 years alongside her husband. She enjoyed taking care of the farm and animals, gardening and canning. She loved sewing and cooking; however, her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Nina loved being with family and friends, and they loved being with her. Nina enjoyed listening to gospel music and loved the Lord dearly. She always made it known that she placed her faith in God and was saved by faith and trust in Jesus to look forward to a glorious eternal life.
Besides her parents, Nina was preceded in death by her husband, Bryan; one son, Larry Prock; two brothers, Francis Hutsell and Delmar Hutsell; three sisters, Nadine McCoy, Louise Rust and Ruby Crewse; and many other friends with which she can now finally enjoy that glad reunion day. Nina is survived by one son and his wife, Bryan Eldon and Barbara Prock; and one daughter and her husband, Lesa and Les Cantrell; two sisters, June Hancock and Beulah Caskey; grandchildren, Greg Prock, Rob Prock, Michael (Amy) Prock, Alesha (Jason) Cook, Krystal (Justin) Brock and Kelly (Cody) Merritt; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends that admired her ways and loved hearing her stories. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and caring neighbor and friend. She will be missed greatly by all those who knew her. Funeral services for Nina Prock were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024, in the Mt. Carney Christian Church with the Rev. Jerry Ratterree officiating.
