Donald “Don” Wayne Hutchison

Donald “Don” Wayne Hutchison, son of the late George and Edith (Hastings) Dobbs, was born July 9, 1941, in Elkland. He passed away at 2:11 p.m. on Oct. 23, 2025, surrounded by his family, at the age of 84. Don was united in marriage to Alene Taylor on Dec. 31, 1977. Don worked as an automobile and diesel mechanic for many years. His favorite hobbies included fishing, hunting, shooting pool and riding horses. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Besides his parents, Don was preceded in death by one brother, James “Jim” Hutchison; and one granddaughter, Sara Sprague. Don is survived by his loving wife of nearly 48 years, Alene Hutchison; five children, Randall Hutchison (Velma), Brandie Hutchison-Day, Jim Noe (Paula), Fred Noe (Anber) and Jamie Noe; 13 grandchildren, Lisa Kanatzar, Donald Hutchison, Kasey Harp, Christopher Noe, Keeley Day, Andrew Noe, Justin Noe, Jeremy Noe, Kory Noe, Logan Noe, Kody Noe, Tristen Noe and Ethan Noe; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation for Don Hutchison will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, in the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home of Mountain Grove. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, also in the funeral home, with the Rev. Ronnie Roy officiating. Burial will be in the Lonestar Cemetery, in Mountain Grove, under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home of Mountain Grove. Flowers, cards, and condolences may be sent to the funeral home.
