Norwood track and field has success in pair of recent meets

Norwood’s track and field program had some success in the recent Mountain Grove Invitational and in the SBU Relays.
On Saturday in Mountain Grove, the Pirates went to Mountain Grove and had a few top eight finishes.
Jaycee Hall had a big day for the Lady Pirates as she was fourth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:05.67.
She also had a seventh place finish in the 200 meters (29.74) and took eighth in the 100 meters (14.19).
Keller Bradshaw led the boys by placing second in the high jump (1.88 meters) and third in the long jump (6.01 meters). He was also eighth in the 200 (24.83).
In the large SBU Relay meet in Bolivar, Jayden Chambers won the 2,000 meters Steeplechase event with a first place time of 8:31.42. She also placed eighth in the 400 (1:03.33).
The Pirates were led by Bradshaw, who placed third in the high jump after clearing 1.9 meters.
He was also 15th place in the long jump event (5.57 meters).
