Recently, Norwood’s standout senior basketball player Autumn Gunter signed her letter of intent to continue her career next season at the collegiate level with Mission University in Springfield.
She was joined at her signing by her parents, Brad and Dana Gunter, along with Mission University head coach Darin Meinders and Norwood head coach Wayne Jessen.
“Continuing playing basketball means a lot to me, being able to keep the culture of Norwood basketball alive just in a different school is really special to me,” Autumn Gunter said.
“There has been so much talent produced by Norwood coaches and staff but many don’t have the opportunity to continue their talents so I am so grateful that God gave this opportunity. I wasn’t planning on playing, but after Coach Meinders reached out to me, I felt like that was God calling me to play, along with studying His word further. I am so excited for this next step in my life and I have the best supporters around, I couldn’t have made it this far without my family, friends, the Norwood community, teammates, coaches, and most of all, God.”
