Donald Dean Dooms

Donald Dean Dooms, son of Sandy (Hartley) Dooms, and the late Delmar Dooms, was born Nov. 8, 1965, in Davenport, Iowa, and passed away Nov. 12, 2024, at Cox Health in Springfield. He was 59 years and 4 days of age. Donald was raised in Douglas County, Missouri. He married Rachel Filoteo, in Mountain Grove  on Feb. 14, 2015. Donald spent his entire life as a truck driver and in his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the guitar and listening to rock music.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delmar Dooms, and one brother, Darren Dooms. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Dooms, of Springfield; his mother, Sandra Dooms, of Davenport, Iowa; one son, Donald Dean Dooms II and one daughter, Desiree Dooms, both of Springfield; one brother, Doug Dooms, of West Plains; one half-brother, Dan Ashby (Rose), of Fruitland, Iowa; two sisters, Rebekah Hillman (Jen) and Angela Willingham, all of Davenport, Iowa; one grandchild, Aurora Dooms; and other friends and relatives who will miss him dearly. Visitation for Donald Dooms was held Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove. Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home, with the Rev. Justin Lawson officiating. Song selections were “Warrior Is A Child” and “Lead Me Lord.” Mike Dunn, Danny Woods, Donnie Dooms, Desiree Dooms, Bekah Hillman and Dan Ashby served as pallbearers.
