Mountain Grove and Mansfield golf compete at Wedgewood

Both the Mountain Grove and Mansfield girls golf tams competed in a match at the Wedgewood Country Club last week on a cloudy, 71-degree day.
Mountain Grove
The Lady Panthers took first place in the team standings with a 203 to hold off Clever by three strokes.
Morgan Tyrrell was fourth place overall with a 47 while Emma Crewse was also in the Top-10 with a 50 for fifth place.
Zoey Criner shot a 52 for 10th place, Chloe Slagle was 13th place with a 54, Peyton Tyrrell was 17th with a 60, and Payton Honor shot a 62 for 22nd place.
Sophia Cameron added a 48 in the scramble.
“I’m proud of the girls. They continue to improve and winning on your home course is an awesome accomplishment,” said Mountain Grove head golf coach Mike Mallow.
Mansfield
A new Mansfield Lady Lions’ golf team finished third place in the team standings with a 229 as they knocked off Ava by 10 strokes. Golfers from Lutie, Seymour, Liberty and Bakersfield also participated in the event.
Addison Jones was just one stroke out of the Top-10 with a 53. Charleigh Clark added a 55, Mylee Sullivan had a 60, Kiersten Garrison shot a 61, Presley Weldon shot a 63, Savannah Clark had a 71 and Autumn Strohm had no score recorded in the scramble.
