Rebba Miller

Rebba Miller, daughter of the late Alva and Gladys Edwards, was born on Feb. 20, 1936, in Hartville. She passed away on May 22, 2026, in Independence, at age 90. Rebba grew up in Hartville, where she attended school. She graduated from Hartville High School in 1954. A few days after she graduated from high school, she moved to Kansas City. She met Robert Miller and they were married in May of 1957. Two children, Beth Ann and Mike, were born to this union. Rebba worked for Montgomery Ward in Kansas City for 33 years before retiring. She was a big fan of the Missouri Tigers, Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals. Rebba loved ice cream of any flavor and eating french fries. She also enjoyed having a cup of coffee first thing every morning and working on crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Gladys Edwards; her husband, Robert; and her daughter, Beth Ann. Rebba is survived by her son, Mike Miller and his wife, Becky, of Independence; one sister, Sharon Parker, of Springfield; two brothers, Jerry Edwards and his wife, Ruth, of Kansas City, and Iby Edwards, of Mountain Grove; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her very much. A graveside memorial service for Rebba Miller was held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 2 p.m. in the Hillcrest Cemetery with Pastor Dale Martin officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home of Mountain Grove.
