Hartville baseball falls in Summit Conference semis

The Hartville Eagles’ fall baseball season came to an end last week after falling to eventual champion Conway in the semifinals of the Summit Conference Tournament.
It was a 2-1 game through five innings before the Bears added two runs in the sixth. Hartville’s defense made five errors in the loss.
TJ Kline scored the lone run in the loss.
On the mound, Gus Sinning tossed five innings and gave up no earned runs and just one hit with 10 strikeouts and three walks.
Brodyn Hulsey tossed two scoreless innings and gave up three hits with three strikeouts.
In the opening round, the Eagles dispatched of Seymour, 15-5.
Hartville scored at least one run in all five innings before sealing the victory with a six-run bottom of the fifth inning.
Nine different Eagles had at least one RBI in the win.
Hulsey had four hits, four RBIs and two runs scored; Maddox Jones had two RBIs and scored twice; Brock Jones had one RBI and scored four times; Gus Sinning tallied one RBI and scored three runs; Jacob Meglan had one RBI and scored twice; Kline added two RBIs; Truett Coryell and Hunter Walker had one RBI and one run scored; and Cole Sinning had one RBI.
Coryell tossed three innings and gave up one earned run and no hits with five strikeouts and two walks. Cole Sinning tossed two innings and gave up one earned run on three hits with two strikeouts and two walks.
Hartville ended their fall season with an 11-7 overall record.
