Casas helps 13U baseball team win USSSA National title

Mountain Grove’s Lucas Casas, in photo on left after hitting a home run, was part of a local Team Missouri 13U baseball team that won the USSSA National Tournament held July 29-Aug. 3 in Westfield, Ind. at Grand Park. The team took first place in a field featuring 28 total teams with a 7-1 record. They beat one other team twice to clinch the title. Casas, who hit an out-of-the-park home run on day three, was joined on the squad by players from Licking, Camdenton, Houston, Salem among others.
