Helen Marie Brown, 92, of Lebanon, passed away after a long illness on Feb. 8, 2025. She was cared for by her daughter, Nancy Brown, for the last four years. In her final days, she was surrounded by the love of her children until she passed away in her home. She married on May 9, 1952 to Sanford (Bob) K Brown and resided at various military bases in the US including Hawaii. After Bob retired from the military, the family moved to Grovespring, in 1967 and farmed for 42 years. Their final move was to Lebanon, and she resided there for the last 16 years.
Her parents, husband, Bob; daughter, Linda; and four brothers, Richard, Charles, Billie Joe and Jack Stokes, predeceased Helen. She is survived by her children, Mary Fishburn (Republic), Dr. Loretta and Marion Fuge (Mansfield); Nancy Brown (Lebanon); Rex and Christine Brown (Mountain Grove); several grandchildren, Suzette Smith, Randal and Dr. Michael Fuge, Rhonda Haynes, Shannon Burge, Dustin and Sarah Brown, Christopher and Mariah Brown and Derek and Cheyenne Brown; three great granddaughters, Kelsey Davidson Fishburn, Eden and Makenna Brown; five great grandsons, Caleb Smith, Camden, Taydehn, Lucas and Ryker Brown. Please join the family at Greenlawn North in Springfield on March 1, 2025 at 1 p.m. to say goodbye to Helen. She will spend Eternity with the love her life, Bob, at Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery at Fort Leonard Wood located in Waynesville.
