U.S. Rep. Jason Smith visits Norwood dairy farm

U.S. Rep. Jason Smith, in middle with red shirt, visited the Hill Top Jerseys Dairy Farm in Norwood on Monday, Aug. 25 as part of his annual farm tour. The dairy farm is owned and operated by Michael and Kristen Keim. Also joining U.S. Rep. Smith and the Keim family were former State Rep. Hannah Kelly, State Rep. Melissa Schmidt, Wright County Sheriff Sonny Byerley, Wright County Circuit Clerk Lori Jones and Wright County Commissioners Zach Williams, Randy Pamperien and Tommy Kingery. Michael Keim spoke to the group and explained the operation of how he sells the milk from his jersey herd and how it is stored in a self-serve store on the property. Deliveries can also be made from orders placed on the website, https://hilltopjerseys.com/. U.S. Rep. Smith noted the one sale of a jersey cow from the Keim dairy farm to a customer in Hawaii speaks volumes for the quality of work done at the business. The Keim’s store also includes eggs and processed beef grown on their farm.
