Tri-County Fair arrives

Sonshine Amusements will once again be bringing fair rides, games and more to the Tri-County Fairgrounds from June 5-June 8 in Mountain Grove.

An action-packed schedule is on tap for the Tri-County Fair in Mountain Grove this week Wednesday-Saturday, June 5-8 at the Tri-County Fairgrounds.

The rodeo returns on the final two days of the fair, resulting in a cost of $5 per person to get in at the gate on both Friday and Saturday. Admission is free for Wednesday and Thursday.

Sonrise Amusements is returning with its carnival, which features rides, concessions and more.

Armbands cost $15 for rides from 6-10 p.m. on night one.

The cost moves up to $20 for the final three nights.

On day one, the Carnival will be open from 6-10 p.m.

Those who have market animals will have a weigh-in at the A Arena at 7 p.m. with a 6:45 p.m. mandatory meeting preceding it.

On Thursday, a special meet and greet featuring donuts from REMAX Farm & Home is set for 8 a.m. and will be followed by an 8:15 a.m. special flag raising ceremony. The city administrator and the mayor are both scheduled to be there at around 8:20 a.m.

The Hog Show is in the A Arena at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Beef Show in the A Arena starting at 11:30 a.m. The Sheep Show is at 3 p.m. in the A Arena. 

The Meat Goat Show starts at 6 p.m. in the A Arena.

The annual Kids Peddle Tractor Pull is at 8 p.m. Classes are 25-35 lbs., 36-45 lbs. and 46-55 lbs.

State Rep. Hannah Kelly and Sarah Beller, both of Century 21 Hometown Properties, will present a pizza party starting at 7:30 p.m.

Friday starts with the 8:30 a.m. Livestock Judging Contest.

The Obstacle Course fun starts at 9 a.m. At 10 a.m., rabbit, poultry and waterfowl judging takes place.

Roth Farms is sponsoring the Kids and Animals Class in the A Arena starting at 11 a.m.

Patsy Worrel is sponsoring some Costume Class fun in the A Arena starting at 1 p.m.

Kids games start at 3 p.m., which is sponsored by 37 North Realty.

It will be followed by the 5 p.m. Buyers Dinner, sponsored by Town & Country Bank.

Tri-County Hall of Fame honorees will then be recognized at 5:30 p.m.

A Farm Bureau Ice Cream Social also starts at 5:30 p.m. 

The Market Sale follows at 6 p.m. in the A Arena.

The rodeo ends the evening. It officially starts at 7 p.m.

The fair concludes on Saturday with the Dairy Goat Show in the A Arena at 8 a.m. and the Dairy Cattle Show starts at 9 a.m. The rodeo wraps up the 2024 Tri-County Fair that evening. (See schedule on A12.)
