Supporters show up to cheer on Garrett Davault in Evangel opener

More than 30 fans of now Evangel University stand-out Garrett Davault rented out a suite, with the help of local sponsors, in the Valor’s first ever men’s basketball game inside their new AGFinancial Arena back on Nov. 1.
The Norwood graduate put on a show for his supporters as he helped Evangel knock off a good Columbia College team, 99-95.
He scored 18 points in 29 minutes of play and also pulled down seven rebounds.
The Davault family is grateful for the support of sponsors to help rent out the suite in the arena’s season opener.
The sponsors of the suite included Oak Star Bank, Legacy Bank and Trust, Courtney Construction, State Farm Insurance-Steven Gum, Stockmens Bank, Hawkins Home and Lawn, Town and Country Bank and Super Lube.
Then on Nov. 5, Davault scored 13 points in a 77-69 win over rival College of the Ozarks. Four of his points led to a 4-0 run to start the game.
