Performing at the Grand Ole Opry

Mountain Grove’s Bethany Caudill stands on the 6’ wide section of the original Ryman Auditorium stage, now located in the center of the Grand Ole Opry stage.
For many country and Christian singers in the music industry, the dream is strong to perform live on stage at the famed Grand Ole Opry. After her recent participation in the 43rd Annual Sunday Mornin’ Country event, Mountain Grove’s Bethany Caudill has been blessed to have her dream come true for two years in a row. One year after being a part of The Country Chorale for the event in Nashville in 2024, she was asked to return in early June of 2025 to practice four nights before the June 8 performance.
Though Ray Stevens was a late scratch, some of the other advertised performers Caudill was able to join on stage included Brenda Lee, Charlie McCoy, John Berry, Cowboy Joe Babcock, the Tennessee River Boys, Mandy Barnett and more. Rhonda Vincent also made an appearance.
“It was awesome,” she said. “The place; the music was just perfect. And the artists we performed behind were just perfecto. Everything just went smoothly. The chorus blended as well…It was a blessing to be a part of it again.”
Before leaving this year’s stage, Caudill was smiling ear to ear after getting to take a photo in the famous circle of the Grand Ole Opry stage.
“I will never forget being in the circle and coming in the artist entrance,” Caudill noted. “Everybody wants to get to that circle; everybody does.”
Another memorable moment this year was hearing Charlie McCoy playing “The Wayfaring Stranger” on the harmonica.
