Hartville’s Felix Fugitt to appear at Times Square

One Hartville resident will be shown among the two jumbotron screens in the heart of Times Square on Sep. 6.
Felix Fugitt, the son of Mark and Laura Fugitt, was chosen to represent the Down syndrome community in a National Down Syndrome Society video presentation that will also be livestreamed on the NDSS Facebook from 8:30-9:30 p.m. CST.
The presentation features children, teens and adults from 50 states and 11 countries. It kicks off the New York City Buddy Walk, which takes place at the Naumburg Bamdshell in Central Park after the presentation.
Since 1995, the NDSS Buddy Walk has been the premier advocacy event for Down syndrome in the United States. It is also the world’s most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down syndrome community.
The flagship New York City Buddy Walk attracts participants from coast to coast each year.
