Election Results (as they become available on Tuesday, April 8)

Voters took to the polls on Election Day, Tuesday, April 8 and several incumbents were voted out of their current positions in races held throughout the Wright County area.
In the City of Mountain Grove, there is a new mayor as incumbent Fred VanBibber lost his reelection bid.
David Todd won the mayoral race after picking up 305 votes in Wright County and 19 in Texas County for 324 total votes. Webb Friend came in second (Wright-210; Texas-28=238) and Mayor VanBibber was third (Wright-199; Texas-17=216).
In Ward I in Mountain Grove, Dean Curtis won, 209-101, over Wayne Shelley.
As for Ward II, incumbent Jamie Davis lost her reelection bid to Amanda Parker, 78-48.
Zach Hurtt won the Ward III race over Adam Jenkins, 107-30.
As for the Mountain Grove R-III School Board race, incumbents Howard Hawkins and Jay Loveland lost in the three-year term race.
Logan Williams (Wright-731; Texas-122; 48-Douglas=901) and Amanda Owens (Wright-722; Texas-96; Dougals-52=870) won the race. Loveland was third (Wright-463; Texas-137; Douglas-32=632), Hawkins took fourth (Wright-415; Texas-82; Dougals-31=528) and Zach Richardson finished fifth (Wright-447; Texas-79; Douglas-38=526).
As for the one-year term race, Sheena White (Wright-944; Texas-153; Douglas-66=1,163) defeated Shawna Plummer (Wright-493; Texas-111; Douglas-41=645).
When it comes to the property tax question for seniors, the exemption measure on increases for those ages 62 and older was approved, 2,005-207, in favor of a “Yes” vote.
The measure to have the Mountain Grove Special Road District dissolved, failed by a big margin as the “No” votes won, 705-310.
In the City of Mansfield’s Ward II race, Tammy Barrett defeated Josiah Hughes, 39-9.
In the three-year term race for the Norwood R-I School Board, Debbie Shelton (Wright-124; Douglas-11=135) and R.A. Bradshaw (Wright-120; Douglas-15=135) won the two positions. Colby Allen was third with 91 total votes (Wright-83;Douglas-8).

In the one-year term race for Norwood R-I, Curtis Smith (Wright-80; Douglas-5=85) won the race. Donovan Finch was third (Wright-58; Douglas-5=63), Amber Davis was fourth (Wright-34; Douglas-2=36) and Tyler Harris was fifth (Wright-29; Douglas-6=35). Tammy Barrett (39) defeated Josiah Hughes (9).As for Norwood R-I School Board:

Colby Allen (Wright-83 +Douglas 8=91)
This means that Debbie Shelton and RA Bradshaw both won the three-year term seats.

In the one-year term for Norwood R-I School Board:
Curtis Smith (Wright 80 + Douglas 5=85)
Donovan Finch (Wright 58+ Douglas 5=63)
Amber Davis (Wright 34 + Douglas 2=36)
Tyler Harris (Wright 29 + Douglas 6=35)

The senior property tax question, Wright County voters said "Yes", 2,005 to 207 "No" votes.
In the three-year term for Mountain Grove School Board:
Logan Williams (731 Wright, 122 Texas, 48 Douglas=901) and Amanda Owens (722 Wright, Texas 96. Douglas 52=870) win the two seats. Other totals included Jay Loveland (463 Wright + 137 Texas, Douglas 32=632); Howard Hawkins (415 Wright + 82 Texas, Douglas 31-528)Zach Richardson (447 Wright + 79 Texas, 38 Douglas=526);
As for the one year term at Mountain Grove Schools, Sheena White (944 Wright + 153 Texas +66 Douglas=1,163) wins. Shawna Plummer was second (Wright 493 + Texas 111 + Douglas 66=670)

Texas County's unofficial election results have just come in as of 8:39 p.m.
Their Senior Tax Credit measure passed 2,390-350.

Jerri Sue Crimp won the Hospital Trustee race with 917 votes. Marie Lasater (698), George Sholtz (466) and Chelsye Scantlin (364).

In the Cabool School Boardrace, Jacob Reese (238) and Michael Warneke (216) had the most county votes. Shaun Watson had 212 and James Coffman had 75.

As for the Cabool question, the "Yes" had 106 to 73 "No" votes.

The following Mountain Grove totals are only how Texas County voted. This does not indicate a final winner in those races.
