Panthers’ baseball season ends in semis

Mountain Grove Panthers’ baseball team had their season come to an end last week in the semifinals of the Class 4, District 12 Tournament.
In taking on host Logan-Rogersville on the Wildcats’ home diamond, the Panthers were unable to get much going offensively in an 11-0 loss.
While the defense made two errors, the offense combined for just two hits and drew five walks.
Brayden Haughey and Eli Golden had the lone hits for the Panthers.
On the mound, Briar Parsons tossed one and a third innings and gave up three earned runs and one hit with one strikeouts and four walks.
Trace Harker tossed one inning and gave up three earned runs on two hits with two walks.
Sam Peterson tossed a scoreless inning and gave up no hits. Eli Golden tossed two-thirds of an inning and gave up three earned runs on two hits with one strikeout and two walks. Mountain Grove ended its season with a 9-17 overall record.
