Mansfield track excels in Mountain Grove and SBU
Mansfield’s Cali Lemons during one of two hurdles races in which she took first place.
The Mansfield boys and girls track and field program earned several top eight finishes in meets held at Mountain Grove and in Bolivar.
Cali Lemons led the Lady Lions in Mountain Grove as she took first in the 100-meter hurdles (17.16) and first in the 300-meter hurdles (49.91).
Faith Clark won the 800 meters (2:31.36) and second in the 400 meters (1:05).
Addie Jones took fourth in the long jump (4.51 meters) and fifth in the triple jump (9.34 meters).
In relays, the 4x200 (1:54.53) and the 4x400 (4:33.83) were both second.
The 4x100 was fifth (58.25).
Malachi Ussery led the Lions by winning the 300-meter hurdles with a first place time of 42.25 seconds while Riley Pierson was sixth (48.62). Ussery was also second in the long jump (6.18 meters).
Nolyn Corder won the 1,600 meters (4:32.57) and was second in the 3,200 (10:01.28).
Braxton Bolfing placed sixth in the 400 meters (55.57).
SBU Relays
In the SBU Relays, Clark was third in the 800 meter (2:29.62) and fifth in the 1,600 meters (5:42.07).
Lemons was sixth in the 100-meter hurdles (17.21) and sixth in the 300-meter hurdles (50.48).
Ussery led the Lions by placing third in the long jump (6.22 meters) and sixth in the 300-meter hurdles (42.96).
Corder finished in seventh place in the 1,600 meters with a time of 4:34.16).
