There were injuries suffered in a few recent traffic accidents in the area.
Mansfield man hurt in motorcycle wreck
A Mansfield man suffered moderate injuries after his motorcycle accident that took place around 6;15 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report, Danny Robertson, 56, was driving his Ultima motorcycle westbound on the south outer road, three miles west of Mansfield. It was at that time his motorcycle failed to stop at a stop sign and overturned. He was reportedly not wearing a safety device and transported by Mercy ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
Norwood coach
injured in accident
Norwood’s Shane Chadwell, the athletic director and boys basketball coach for the Norwood R-I School District, suffered reported minor injuries after swerving to avoid a vehicle with a mechanical defect on Highway Y, one mile north of Macomb.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report, he was driving his 2019 Ford F250 southbound when he swerved around the vehicle, traveled off the roadway and overturned.
Chadwell, 39, was transported by private vehicle to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He was reportedly wearing a safety device.
Two vehicles collide on a blind curve
A Hartville driver suffered moderate injuries after two vehicles met on a blind curve on Indian Grove Road, one mile north of Hartville.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report, Christopher Isaacs, 49, was driving his 1987 Chevrolet Pick-Up and Aaron Routh, 26, of Strafford, was driving his 2020 Ford box truck eastbound.
On the blind curve, Routh’s truck struck Isaacs’ truck. Isaacs was transported by Mercy ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon.
Routh had no reported injuries and both drivers were wearing safety devices.
Motorcyclist runs into another from behind
One Paragould, Ark. motorcyclist suffered moderate injuries after an accident at the intersection of Highway H and Highway 95 in Manes.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report, Karla Kemmett, 52, of Paragould, Ark., was driving a 2019 Can Am Spyder when she attempted a left turn and struck Younely Crawford’s, 46, motorcycle from behind. The Harley Davidson then went off the right side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting the driver.
Younely was transported by ambulance to Ozarks Health Center in West Plains. Both drivers were reportedly wearing safety devices.
