Crisp named county’s conservation agent

A Class of 2015 Mountain Grove High School graduate has been hired as Wright County’s new conservation agent.
Avery Crisp, whose family is from the Manes area, is returning home after serving as Carter County’s Conservation Agent for three years in the Van Buren area.
“To be able to come back to Wright County, it’s nice to be able to get involved in the local community and school that I grew up in and to protect our resources,” he said. “And I want to try to get more people involved in the outdoors with hunting and fishing (experiences) that I grew up with closer to home.”
His vision includes holding community events where people of all ages can come together. He would also like to have safety courses and get into the schools to talk fishing regulations, identification and to offer students interaction opportunities with their new conservation agent.
He can be reached through email at avery.crisp@mdc.mo.gov.
