History and Arts Center open July 5

The Mountain Grove History and Arts Center at 301 E. 1st St. will be open to the public on Saturday, July 5, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The History and Arts Center is home to collections of school memorabilia and annuals as well as local Mountain Grove history.
To celebrate the Mountain Grove Heritage Festival this year, a collection of baseball and some softball memorabilia will be on display.
On Saturday, Aug. 9, during the Heritage Festival, the Center will house a display of both local and national baseball artifacts to celebrate the festival’s theme of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”
Admission is free. Any donations help keep the lights on. All Mountain Grove artifacts donated or loaned are welcome and will be cared for and displayed. For more information, contact Debbie Barbe at 417-830-4478 or dbarbe_md@yahoo.com.
